Enhancing success of IVF

Preparation for IVF can begin several months before the IVF protocol is started. In the month before the IVF cycle begins, treatment will focus on nourishing the ovaries & uterus in order to increase the quality of the eggs and the thickness of the endometrium lining .

Treatments are given pre- & post-transfer to calm the mind and reduce anxiety & tension in order to increase the chance of successful transfer. Acupuncture can also be used throughout the pregnancy.

Research conducted in Germany resulted in an IVF success rate of 43% in the group treated with acupuncture, as opposed to a 26% success rate in the group who did not receive acupuncture.
